25-26 U.S. History I- Core +

Ideal for students in grades 5-8 that have not had a traditional U.S. history course and don’t have time or need for the accredited course. This course should take one to two hours every two weeks. Unlike other courses, all content has been created by experienced, licensed Virginia educators with 20+ years in international education. 

The asynchronous course aligns with Virginia’s Standards of Learning for U.S. History I and includes access to all core course content with optional Gifted & Talented, and optional AI learning. At the end of each unit, you will receive an email with a graded rubric and narrative comments on your child's progress and suggestions for future units. In addition, your child can take a midpoint check-in at the end of each unit to ensure understanding. Upon completion of all units, your child will receive an end of course report certificate of completion. This is the core content with grading of the accredited course but does not confer credits.

In addition, your child will learn valuable research skills, note-taking techniques, and skills not always taught in international schools.. Not only will your child not fall behind their peers in the United States, your child will be able to use these skills in their regular classroom.
